Room to stretch out is the key to the Full over Full Mission Bunk Bed's popularity. Guardrails are included for the top bunk. Ladder rungs are flat, not vertical, for your child's comfort and easy access to the top bunk. 1. Never allow children under 6 years-old on the upper bunk.
2. Close the space between the lower edge of the guardrail and upper edge of the bed frame to 3-1/2 inches or less.
3. A guardrail placed next to the wall, on the lower bunk as well as the upper bunk, will help reduce the risk of entrapment.
4. Mattresses and/or foundations resting only on ledges need fastened cross wires, or other means of support to help prevent dislodgement, even when beds are used as twin beds.

One more thing to remember when purchasing a mattress for the top bunk be sure to follow the manufacturer's recommendation regarding the maximum thickness/height to ensure that the safety rail works properly.

This was the single largest bedroom set I designed and built for a customer. This is from around 1999-2000. The buildings are 11'-6" high, two story, and the overall length of the left side section is over 24'. There are 6 beds in it total, in the end buildings. 2 pull-out trundles on the very bottom, a bed at each lower level, and one each on the top level. The buildings are modeled after the customer's home town. There was an additional building, incomplete at this time, on the opposite side, which was used as a bookshelf. It was designed after the library building in town, and featured a 6', 28" deep section that opened out in the middle (you grabbed the building's door handles to open it), with large casters below, to form 2 3'x14" extended shelf sections, giving a total bookshelf space of 12' long, 14" deep and 10' high. The entry section of the room was painted as you would see the town in its heyday from the center square, then you stepped down and walked through the old-fashioned archway I built with working lights and carved sign into the main room. The swings worked, and there were lights in all of the sections. Eventually the set was painted inside and out.
